Team Volunteer Day

Are you looking for a meaningful way to bring your team together? Then we’d love you to spend a day with us in the garden connecting with nature, each other, and the local community.

Our community garden is a shared space that supports wellbeing, biodiversity, and access to fresh, locally grown food for our members. By joining us for a team volunteer day, your group will play a direct role in keeping this space thriving and accessible for everyone.

We welcome teams of up to 15. No prior gardening experience is needed, just a willingness to get involved, try something new, and enjoy the outdoors together. Most days of the week can be accommodated.

What Your Team Will Do

Each volunteer day is hands-on, varied, and rewarding. Activities are guided by the needs of the garden at the time, and may include:

  • Digging and installing new fence posts
  • Cleaning and organising the polytunnel
  • Laying woodchip or compost
  • General maintenance and seasonal gardening tasks
  • Supporting ongoing improvement projects across the space

These activities are designed to encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and shared achievement, all while contributing to a much-loved community resource.

What the Day Looks Like

9:00am – Arrival & Welcome
We’ll start with a warm introduction to the garden, a short tour, and an optional grounding or meditation session, with a particular theme fit  your group, to help everyone settle into the space.

Morning Session
Your team will get stuck into practical activities, working together with guidance from our garden facilitators.

1:00pm – Lunch Break
Time to rest, eat, and enjoy the surroundings. (Teams can bring their own lunch or ask us about local catering options.)

Afternoon Session
Continue with hands-on tasks, building on the morning’s work and seeing the impact come to life.

4:00pm – Closing Circle & Cake
We’ll come together to reflect on the day, share experiences, and celebrate with some well-earned cake before heading home.

Why Join Us?

  • Strengthen team connections in a relaxed, outdoor setting
  • Support a vital community space
  • Boost wellbeing through time in nature
  • Create a shared sense of purpose and accomplishment

Your support helps us maintain and grow the garden for the many people who rely on it, from local residents to community groups and volunteers.

Donation

We ask for a £250 donation if your organisation is in a position to support the project, for the day’s activities. If this is a barrier to your organisation, then please still get in contact with us as we’d love to hear from you to work something out.

Please email connect@livingvital.co.uk and we can organise a time to call & discuss the type of volunteer day you are looking for, and answer any questions you have.
